Terms of Use

Plainly: ExTris a simple tool for logging your own expenses. It helps you keep a record — it isn’t financial advice, and it doesn’t move or manage your money. Use it honestly and it will serve you well.

Last updated: 9 July 2026 · Version 1.0 · Reflects the M1 release.

1 · What ExTr is

ExTris a personal, manual expense-logging app. It records what you type in — expenses, savings goals, recurring-bill reminders, and “money owed to me” notes — and keeps them in a private database on your own device.

It does not connect to your bank or cards, does not import transactions, and does not move, hold, or manage any money. It is a free app: there are no payments, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. ExTr is intended for people aged 18 and older.

2 · Not financial advice

ExTr is a record-keeping tool, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Its goal projections — for example, an estimate that a saving habit could reach a goal sooner — are informational possibilities based only on the numbers you enter, not promises, guarantees, or recommendations.

The app’s coaching text is generated on your device from fixed calculations and pre-written templates; it does not assess your finances or tell you what to do. Decisions about your money are yours.

3 · Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you enter and how you use it. Because every figure comes from you, the accuracy and usefulness of what ExTr shows depends entirely on the accuracy of your own entries.

Your data lives on your device, so keeping it safe is also in your hands. ExTrdoes not run its own backup, though your device’s own iCloud or Google backup may include it (see the Privacy Policy). If you rely on this data, keep your own backups and don’t treat the app as your only record.

4 · Acceptable use

ExTris licensed to you for your own personal, lawful use. You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract its source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law; interfere with the app’s normal operation; or resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit it.

The app and its design remain the property of the publisher; these Terms transfer no ownership to you.

5 · Warranty & liability

ExTris provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The publisher does not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that its calculations or projections will be accurate for your circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the laws of India.

6 · Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above; continuing to use ExTr after a change means you accept the updated Terms. This version reflects ExTr’s M1 release; a future release that adds accounts or syncing will be accompanied by updated Terms.
